GAC Trumpchi Yue 7 Official Images Released: Boxy Off-Road Design Meets 1.5T Plug-In Hybrid Power
GAC Trumpchi has officially released images of its upcoming Yue 7, a rugged new-energy SUV built around a classic boxy body-on-frame aesthetic. The model targets the growing segment of buyers who want genuine off-road capability wrapped in modern plug-in hybrid technology. The Yue 7 pairs a 1.5T petrol engine with an electric motor in a PHEV configuration, with two battery options offering up to 188 km of pure-electric range.
Design GAC Trumpchi Yue 7: Square by Choice
The Yue 7 makes no attempt to hide its hard-edge ambitions. The body is built around a traditional box-structure silhouette with straight, upright lines and a deliberately squared-off stance. The closed front fascia — now standard practice for new-energy vehicles — carries a clean, centered GAC lettering badge rather than a traditional grille. Flanking it are octagonal headlight clusters paired with vertically-oriented “7-shaped” daytime running lights, giving the nose a distinctive and recognizable face.

The side profile keeps overhangs short at both ends, a practical choice that directly improves approach and departure angles for off-road use. Traditional door handles are fitted rather than flush pop-outs, and a set of stylish alloy wheels sits under matte black roof rails. At the rear, the squared-off tailgate continues the front’s visual language. A side-hinged rear door mechanism is fitted, along with an external-mounted spare tire carrier — a functional detail that reinforces the Yue 7’s positioning. Vertically stacked taillights complete the rear treatment.
Dimensions GAC Trumpchi Yue 7:
The Yue 7 measures 4,999–5,045 mm in length, 2,004–2,030 mm in width, and 1,916–1,933 mm in height, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase. Approach angle is 30° and departure angle is 33°, both respectable figures for genuine trail use. Curb weight is 2,330 kg with a gross vehicle weight of 2,810 kg.

Powertrain GAC Trumpchi: Two Battery Options
The Yue 7 is equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system built around a 4A15J4-coded engine produced by Guangzhou Qisheng Powertrain Co., Ltd., delivering a maximum output of 125 kW. Two battery configurations are available depending on trim level: a 28.3 kWh pack offering 116 km of pure-electric range, and a larger 45.975 kWh pack stretching that figure to 188 km. Further details on pricing and full specifications will follow as the launch approaches.
